Octagon Group are currently working with a global energy technology company who are seeking a talented HPC Software Engineer – GPU C++ to join their team in Houston, Texas.
Within this role you will support the development and maintenance of one of the company’s core seismic imaging applications, working on the infrastructure which supports the company’s high performance computing projects. You will sit within a talented team of engineers, geophysicists, and mathematicians, being responsible for implementing highly complex algorithms, working in CUDA and profiling/optimising a high volume of GPUs and CPUs. You will play a crucial role in the team, utilising your experience to work closely with external stakeholder and vendors, making decisions around optimal hardware and tools.
This is an excellent opportunity for a HPC Software Engineer – GPU C++ to utilise their expertise in a challenging and technically complex role, based within the company’s site in Houston, Texas.
Requirements for the HPC Software Engineer – GPU C++ role:
- 5+ years of C++ and CUDA development experience within high performance computing environments
- Significant experience in GNU profiling and optimisation
- An excellent grasp of numerical software and complex algorithms
- MSc level education in a relevant Computing, Mathematics or Physics subject area
