EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN A LEADING AUTOMOTIVE CLIENT IN WOKING, SURREY AS AN ELECTRO-MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN (ALTERNATORS)

Our client seeking an experienced electro-mechanical build technician to join their Alternator manufacture department based in Woking, Surrey. As part of their small team of technicians, you will play a crucial role in the assembly of complex high-value alternator products in small to medium volumes. These products are primarily used in motorsport and high-end automotive applications, where the highest standards of quality and reliability are of utmost importance.

Role Dimensions: As an electro-mechanical build technician, your primary responsibility will be to build and test assemblies before dispatching them to our valued customers. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. During peak periods or when projects demand, you will be expected to work overtime to meet production targets.

Principal Accountabilities for the Electro-Mechanical Technician:

  • Achieve objectives by working according to the production plan.
  • Follow instructions and processes meticulously to ensure products are delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, and to specification, while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Adhere to production procedures, processes, and technical documentation.
  • Work autonomously within established procedures and practices.
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation to ensure full standards of traceability.
  • Contribute actively to the process of continuous improvements, supporting the company’s goal of achieving zero defects in line with ISO9001 certified quality management systems requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: To succeed in the Electro-Mechanical Technician role, you should possess the following:

  • Proven experience in assembling complex high-value alternator products in small to medium volumes, preferably in a low volume manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain or exceed high levels of production standards and efficiency.
  • Ability to actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Good understanding of working in a similar electro-mechanical environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and ensure products meet customer delivery dates.
  • Proficiency in working with both written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong PC skills to navigate digital systems and tools effectively.
