When we started Octagon Recruitment Group 15 months ago, we had a corporate aim to try and make a genuine difference and give something back to those less fortunate than ourselves. We decided that every year we would select a charity to partner with, one whose work resonates with us and at the end of that year we will donate a percentage of our profits to that charity.
With the help of all of the clients and candidates we worked with in 2019, we are delighted to be able to donate £1,450 to our 2019 partner, the Alzheimer’s Society UK.
Our charity this year was selected by one of our founders, Jabe Bean. Unfortunately, like so many in the UK, Jabe’s grandfather suffers from dementia so he has seen first-hand the difficulties of fighting this illness. Someone new develops dementia every three minutes in the UK, and there is currently no cure. Alzheimer’s Society provides the support and care that people affected by such situations deserve, whilst simultaneously researching life-changing treatments. We are extremely proud to support this cause and join the fight against dementia.
