A leading design and manufacturer of complex electronic instrumentation, for renewable energy industries, are looking for an engineer with expertise in Aeroacoustics in relation to rotordynamics, aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, As a Senor Aeroacoustics Engineer you will research computational modelling and conduct CAA (Computational aeroacoustics) simulations focusing on noise modelling and aeroacoustics, creating CAA models, whilst applying aerodynamic, acoustic, and thermal principals. This role will support new product development for instrumentation used in very harsh environments. You will work closely with design engineers and research engineers in electro-mechanical modelling, vibro-acoustics and aerothermal teams, in their HQ in Surrey.
Skills / Experience required
- Academic exposure to Aeroacoustics, rotordynamics, aerodynamics or similar.
- A strong background in CAA modelling – ideally with industry experience
- Use of CAA modelling packages and simulation tools.
- Exposure to high performance computing, ideally with experience in analysis and validation of of open-source simulation codes.
- Python programming experience or similar for data development.
- Exposure to Keras or PyTorch would be beneficial but not essential.
