Nemco are currently recruiting for a Buyer / Planner to work within our Supply Chain department. Primarily responsible for the procurement of materials and supporting Planning function with material status and clear kit dates.

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 depending on experience

Main duties

• Review SOB daily to ensure Customer deliveries are executed as planned
• Assist Planning with Production Planning if required
• Run Customer OTIF reports
• Actively interact with Purchasing and Planning to provide direction regarding material availability or limitations against inventory/production plans and develop action plans to address.  Communicate/escalate issues as needed to stakeholders
• Manage the MRP for a nominated list of commodities or parts.  Place orders in a timely manner to meet Customer demands
• Review and monitor goods and services to meet production requirements

Required qualifications

• O Levels/GCSE’s English & Maths

Experience

Essential

• Previous experience in a similar role (Purchasing/Planning)
• Strong level of computer literacy
• High level of accuracy and keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Positive and flexible approach to new challenge

Desirable

• Use of ERP systems, preferably EPICOR
• Broad end to end supply chain and operations process knowledge
