A leading aerospace / defence organisation based in Hayes, Greater London (Middlesex / West London area) require a Mechanical Design Engineer – Electro-Mechanical (Inside IR35) to join their team on a 6-month contract. 
With a number of high value projects won and going through approval, this team require a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer – Electro-Mechanical (Inside IR35) to assist with the development of electro-mechanical packaging for ruggedised military and defence products. 
This will involve solid and sheet metal 3D designs using Siemens NX and AutoCAD to design rugged applications from concept through to manufacture. This will involve design, testing, thermal management and analysis within an R&D team of 6 design engineers. 
Skills / Experience required: 

• Experience in 3D CAD design using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or Siemens NX. 
• Exposure to solid and sheet metal enclosures / machining.  
• Good understanding of thermal and fluid analysis (experience with CFD would be beneficial but not essential). 
• Exposure to high voltage electronics would also be beneficial but not essential.
