Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities of the role:

• Test all products in accordance with Test Specs, completing test reports.
• Fault find to component level, identify the root cause, record findings.
• Liaise with quality department or engineering where relevant on issues relating to products that fail test.
• Ensure all testing is completed on time, as per the production schedule.
• Assist with testing of prototype and engineering builds.
• Assist with Reliability/Repair testing.
• Aid with the designing of test jigs and fixtures where needed.
• Contribute to regular maintenance of test equipment also comply with 5S discipline of working areas.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety measures practices and help implement any changes as required by the radiation protection advisor.

Person Specification:

Essential Requirements

• Experience in electrical/electronic with testing background within high voltage power supplies, PCB’s or equivalent experience.
• A good understanding of both analog and digital circuitry.
• Experience of understanding circuit diagrams, electrical drawings, & test specifications.
• Experience with power supply circuitry.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage varying workloads.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all departments and all levels.
• Ability to perform physical tasks.
• Must be a good communicator and team player, that can also take on other responsibilities or tasks whenever reasonably instructed.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with high voltage
• Preferred HND/HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Experience in root cause analysis preferred.
• Experience in a high voltage generator industry or similar preferred but not essential.
