The client is an established leading European manufacturer, who develop complete sensor solutions for defence and security applications. They have developed world class systems to support and protect military and security forces across the globe in air, sea, and land missions. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Hardware Technician/ Test Engineer to join a leading manufacturer in Enfield due to the company’s increasing workload in the defence industry.
Key Responsibilities for The Engineering Hardware Technician Role in Enfield, London:
- Assembly, test, and rework of electromechanical equipment
- Work from drawings, documents, change notes, schematics, oral and written instructions.
- Work and rework to a high standard of accuracy, consisting of operations such as, soldering & unsoldering, wiring & crimping, drilling, filing & cutting, detailed rework of printed circuit assemblies, and application of mastic & adhesives, using a variety of tools and equipment necessary to complete the operations.
- Fault finding down to component level. – Use of basic test equipment, e.g., meter, scope.
Experience Required for The Engineering Hardware Technician Role In Enfield, London:
- At least 5 years’ experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong background & experience in Electronics Testing
- Proven experience of assembly, test, and rework to a high standard of quality.
- Proven proactive ability, with strong team skills and attention to detail.
- Radar knowledge would be an advantage (Desirable)
