A very good Mechanical Design Engineer job opportunity is now available in Bedford, Bedfordshire for a company that design and manufacture electro-mechanical rotating hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems. They have over 50 years in the industry and they have a strong vision in terms of financial investment into R&D. We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who can design and develop machinery from concept to manufacture. This involves 3D CAD design using AutoCAD and Siemens NX, design calculations, and FEA / FMEA analysis. You’ll be based in the companies HQ in Bedford.
The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will have the following skills / experience:
- Strong 3D CAD design experience, ideally using Siemens NX and/or AutoCAD.
- Ability to design, develop, calculate and analyse in a mechanical development environment.
- Exposure to metal components.
- Experience in working with rotating or moving parts would be beneficial but not essential.
