MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER JOB NEAR HAMPTON, GREATER LONDON
A very successful research and development organisation based near Hampton, Greater London are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer. This company design and develop instrumentation and acoustics systems used in the marine, defence and other industries. The R&D team consists of bright and motivated design engineers that are continuously developing innovative optical and acoustic products into the marketplace.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer job:
- The design of scientific instrumentation from concept through development to final product
- Produce engineering documentation
- Carry out product testing
- Liaising with customers on projects when required
Skills / experience required for the Mechanical Design Engineer job:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Some previous experience of working as a designer in a high technology environment, taking products from concept through to manufacture
- A solid grasp of mechanics and mechanical principles with a proven ability using 3D CAD
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must have a British passport.
