A leading biotechnology research organisation based in North London is currently seeking Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their busy team. Our Client creates truly sustainable alternatives to plastic packaging and is backed by top-tier VCs and investors globally to help address one of the biggest challenges of our generation: plastic pollution. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work on creating the future of materials inspired by nature. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work alongside team members in molecular biology, material science, polymer processing, product design and operations teams.
Experienced required for Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role based in North London:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of industry / consulting experience
- Strong 3D design and CAD skills, ideally using Solidworks
- Excellent skills in tolerance analysis
- Previous experience with moulded component design, injection and blow moulding
- Experience in DFM
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
