A leading aerospace / defence organisation based in Hayes, Greater London (Middlesex / West London area) are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Rugged Enclosures to join their growing team.
Following on from exciting new investment into the business, this organisation are keen to grow and offer the opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Rugged Enclosures who wants to grow into a senior level role. This role is an opportunity to take creative and engineering control of the mechanical engineering function within the business. You will be responsible for creating 3D CAD design enclosures for rugged electronics, using AutoCAD and Siemens NX, developing critical products which are sold to military, defence, aerospace and telecoms organisations across the globe.
Skills / Experience required:
- Experience in 3D CAD design using AutoCAD and Siemens NX.
- Experience in designing electro-mechanical rugged enclosures.
- Exposure to sheet metal enclosures and machining.
- Good understanding of thermal and fluid analysis (experience with CFD would be beneficial but not essential).
- An understanding of conductive electronic circuits, configuration management, ruggedized electronics would be beneficial but not essential!
