We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a QA Specialist with medical device knowledge to join their team in Henfield, UK. As a QA Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing and developing the Quality function at Southern Scientific. Based at their Henfield, West Sussex facility, you will have the support of other QA members within the group and report to the Group Quality Director in Sheffield. Your commitment to their quality culture and dedication to excellence will make you an essential member of our team.

Responsibilities for the QA Specialist:

• Overseeing the company’s QA processes and procedures.
• Managing change control and document control.
• Investigating quality issues, complaints, and implementing preventative actions.
• Conducting internal audits of company procedures.
• Liaising with external bodies for audits, such as UL and BSI, and tracking audit findings.
• Supervising the training on new QA procedures as needed.

Requirements for the QA Specialist:

• • Previous experience in a QA role, ideally with medical devices.
  • Understanding of ISO 13485.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to encourage and promote the Quality Management System (QMS) across all levels.
  • Organizational skills.
  • UK driving license.

• Desirable:

  • Experience with external audits.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management, working to ISO 14971 and FEMA.
