A global leading brand are currently expanding their R&D team in Newtown, Wales are are looking to add a Senior Electronic Design Engineer – Analogue / Digital to their multi-disciplined design team. As an Electronic Design Engineer you will gain the opportunity to design and develop analogue and digital electronics for low and high voltage electric systems. You will develop technology that is currently playing a vital role in creating the next generation of electric automotive and transport systems. We’re looking for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer who wants to be at the forefront of innovation.
This organisation operates in over 300 locations, they have 1,000s of employees globally and they are financially very well-established. In this role, you will take products from scratch to market and create technology that will be implemented across the globe. Your role will be a mix of analogue / digital hardware design with additional responsibilities for high-speed designs, low voltage electronics and potentially some high-voltage development if this is something you’d be interested in learning. You will be involved in testing using the companies onsite test facilities, and working closely with the compliance of safety standards for automotive, transport, power generation specifications.
Skills we’re looking for:
- Highly experienced in Electronic Circuit Design, developing analogue and digital hardware.
- PCB layout.
- Exposure to sensing circuitry.
- An understanding of safety standards.
- Ability to design from initial concept, managing developing lifecycles.
- Some basic electronic testing experience.
- Any high power electronics, FPGA or high-speed digital design experience is beneficial but not essential.
