Market leading organisation based in Portsmouth, Hampshire is currently searching for an experienced Senior level Mechanical Design Engineer to join their busy R&D team. Our Client design and manufacture critical communications equipment for the Defence and Security sectors. With over 15 years in the industry this company now operate globally, with offices in the UK and USAs. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will design, develop and support all the mechanical aspects of company products. You will work in a friendly and social team of engineers and will get career progression opportunities.
Skills and job requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of Solidworks or Creo
- Experience of injection moulding and CNC machining
- Experience in design of electro-mechanical enclosures of medium to small sizes
- Good knowledge of materials such as aluminium and steel, ABS and other plastics.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing process
- Must be able to obtain SC ( min 5 years in UK)
