A leading technology-led organisation based in New Jersey are seeking a capable Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team.
You will be developing electro-mechanical products which are used in Industrial, Healthcare and Technology applications.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Electronic Enclosures will be responsible for creating 3D CAD designs for sheet metal enclosures, using SolidWorks, from concept through to manufacture. Your role as a senior level engineer will also involve elements of leading and mentoring junior level engineers across the Mechanical and PCB team.
Skills, experience and Qualifications required:
- A strong background in 3D CAD design using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Experience with sheet metal enclosures (packaging / housing electronics), fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Exposure to PCBs, ideally with a basic understanding of PADs or a similar PCB CAD tool (Altium, Eagle, OrCAD, etc.).
- An understanding of design for manufacture and bill of materials.
